Jason Witten’s Review of Justin Timberlake Concert
Justin Timberlake performed at Jerry Jones’ Hall of Fame private party on Friday night in Canton, Ohio following the Gold Jacket Dinner. The entire Cowboys team was on-hand for Timberlake’s surprise appearance, the players and coaches dancing and partying as the superstar was busy “bringin’ sexy back”. Cowboys future Hall of Fame tight end Jason Witten says it’s one of the best shows he’s seen.
“I’m a big Justin Timberlake fan,” Witten said following Monday morning’s walk-through at Training Camp. “You know, he’s from Tennessee, so he’s representing the home state there, so we’re proud of him. The guy was remarkable, just his ability to connect with the crowd and the charisma he showed.
“It’s ridiculous how talented he is. And it was a surprise, so that was the best part about it. That was one heck of a party!”
The party lasted into the early hours Saturday morning, so players had a quick turnaround between Timberlake’s performance and a Cowboys’ team practice on Saturday afternoon at Case Western University. Witten says the late-night party did not adversely affect Saturday’s work.
“This team is a close group,” insists Witten. “They know how to have a good time, but they know how to work. That’s a good sign. You have to be able to put it to bed. Coach Garrett talks about it a lot. You come into work and there’s a lot of stuff you have to put away. And that’s part of being a pro football: enjoying those experiences, then going back to camp.”
