Cowboys QB Dak Prescott will see a nice deposit in his checking account when the NFL distributes its Performance Based Pay for the 2016 season.
News of the top earners leaked on Wednesday morning and Dak has earned more than any other player on offense in the NFL during the 2016 season. Dak’s amount is $353,544.77. The highest earner was Falcons cornerback Brian Poole at $371,873.11.

Performance Based Pay is a system used in the NFL to reward lower-paid players who play a lot of snaps. For 2016, each NFL team received $3.995 million to disperse among all players who took part in regular season games. The money earned by players does not count towards the salary cap.
The previous season, left guard La’el Collins led the Cowboys in Performance Based Pay by earning $277,939.63. In 2013 and 2014, Leary led all Cowboys in Performance Based Bay with totals of $307,104.23 and $286,812.61, respectively.
