Cowboys Nation Shares Condolence Messages on The Passing of Wade Wilson
On February 1, 2019 the Dallas Cowboys organization was notified of the passing of former quarterback and coach Wade Wilson. Having been a player and a coach, Wilson had impacted many lives throughout his time with the franchise. Many of which took to social media to share their sympathies.
Dak Prescott can credit Coach Wilson for his support and being one of his biggest champions to draft him from Mississippi State. Wilson helped mold Prescott during his historic rookie season.
Sad news today as we lost a teammate far too soon. Wade Wilson was my backup from 1995-‘97 and my QB coach my last season in 2000. Prayers for his children and family. #RIP

Troy Aikman and Wilson were not only teammates between 1995-97 but Wilson eventually coached Aikman in 2000. They had remained friends after Aikman’s retirement.
Furthermore the outpouring of emotion shows just how special Wilson had been to so many in the NFL.
