National Girls and Women in Sports Day
Today, we recognize the many marvelous girls and women involved in sports after President Ronald Reagan signed Proclamation 5606 on February 3, 1987. National Girls and Women in Sports Day is celebrated the first week of February each year to highlight female athletes, past and present, the benefits of sports for women, girls, and society as a whole in addition to the progress that’s followed after Title IX passed in 1972, which allows equal athletic participation for men and women.
Thank you to all the remarkable women who have helped the Dallas Cowboys become the world’s most valuable sports franchise. We value you and all that you do for our organization!
Happy National Girls and Women in Sports Day as we celebrate The Boys and the strong, beautiful women around them.
